A Family Tradition
With roots sprouting from Brooklyn, the Lautato Family began serving quality meals fifty years ago. It all began in one woman’s kitchen where Sicilian and Piedmontese stock combined for a perfect palette. As the Lautato Family grew in a small home in Bensonhurst, so did their standard for superior authentic Italian cuisine.

In 1985, Joseph, the son of Rose and Clement Lautato, moved to Atlantic City to open what is now Café 2825. After serving each customer, one dinner at a time, twenty-five years later our small family restaurant has come to enjoy regional notoriety. Though this intimate and charming, New York-Style Italian restaurant is a mere thirteen tables, Joseph has vowed to “keep it in the family” though opportunity for expansion has presented itself on occasion.

As it has been from the beginning, all of our customers can be assured they will receive the warmth, and respect as a true member of our extended family. We welcome you to our kitchen, Mangia!
